1. Symmetry drawing books
My symmetry drawing books are a perfect gift for ages 9–14. These books are designed to improve drawing skills, focus, and confidence while being completely screen-free and easy to use independently.
They include themes like:
These books are great for:
Homeschool art time
Quiet creative time at home
Travel or cottage activities
Building foundational drawing skills
They also make a thoughtful, educational gift that kids will actually use again and again.
Posca Fine Tip Paint Marker Set of 21 Markers - I love this set of paint pans because they are made with acrylic paint so the colours are bright and vibrant and are opaque. The extra fine tip is great for adding outlines and details. Posca pens can be added on paper, canvas, wood, or rocks the possibilities are endless. To learn more about Posca pens, and how to use them click here.
I really like this sad because there's a variety of colours including white, black, silver gold, neon colours and pastel colours too.
Jewelry Making Kit - A jewellery making kit can be a really fun gift idea especially if your kids love jewellery or are interested in making their own. They can also make jewellery and give it as a gift to friends and family.
Origami kit -- Origami has been around for a long time. There are tons of origami videos on YouTube but it's really nice to use special origami paper and to be able to have a screen free activity option.
Wood burning tool - I would recommend a woodburning tool for teens who are 13 years or older. Like a glue gun, a woodburning tool can get extremely hot. A woodburning tool comes with lots of different tips and attachments to make some really cool designs, including adding details or writing two pieces of wood your team can use the woodburning tool to create gifts for family or friends, or possibly even start their own a small business.
Air dry clay- With air dry clay, there is no need to bake it in the oven or use a kiln to fire it. The clay simply hardens with the air. It takes about 24 hours to dry. You can also purchase different clay tools. I have found plastic clay tools at the dollar store before or I will link some here as well for you to check out on Amazon with the clay tools you're teen can sculpt different creations like their favourite animal they could make a bowl for their jewelry. The possibilities are endless after the clay has dried they can apply acrylic paint, and if they want their clay shiny, they can add a coat of Marge podge or mix some white glue with water. Air dry clay is not safe for putting the dishwasher or eating or drinking off of.
Polymer clay kit - A polymer clay kit is kind of similar to air dry clay, but it comes in a lot of different colours, and there's a lot of cute creations that can be made like a little charms, earrings or jewellery.
Wool felting kit - Will felting can be really fun. It does come with a sharp needle so I would recommend ages 12 or so but if you have a mature 10-year-old they can definitely give it a try with adult supervision. Your teen or child can felt their own ornament their own animal again, there's lots of different tutorials online, but some options are provided in the kit as well.
Art Supply Kit for Kids - This is a great basic art supply kit for kids who are around 10 years old or so if your child is a teenager, then I recommend getting them a little bit more sophisticated supplies that are more of a student grade quality or beginner artist level quality.
