I want to provide you with some fun activities for middle school to incorporate in your classroom. Fun activities for middle school help create a sense of community and allow students to form a relationship with you. Kids this age want to have fun and socialize with their friends. I love taking students outdoors whenever possible and integrating art and student choice in my lesson plans as much as possible.

I will be teaching creative writing, grammar, novel study and culture which includes history and geography.
I like teaching this age group because they are very social, they enjoy playing and being outside with friends and they love learning and trying new things. I always do a variety of fun activities for middle school throughout the school year.
I will be doing lots of crafts and art projects with this group. Crafts and art projects act as fun activities for middle school students.
Last year, I took my class to the local park every Wednesday. We had a picnic and played. We also did meetings where we would sit in a circle and talk about any issues that were happening in the classroom. It was a great time to connect with the class and really bond. The students felt special going to the park as not every class makes use of the space near our school. Going for a walk or to a local park is a fun activity for middle school students. It helps them to feel special to be able to leave the school grounds with you.

Writing a spooky story and making a haunted house
Creating a treasure hunt
Making costumes and masks
Learning about different holidays and traditions around the world
Having a potluck- and cooking traditional meal
Creating ornaments, cards
Decorating the classroom or the door together
Organizing a charity drive - toy drive, food drive etc.
